This program is absoulutely free one time per year. You can also reach them by calling 1-877-322-8228. This would absolutely be your first step! You need to know what's on it in order to begin to repair it.

There are many secured and unsecured credit companies out there that are willing to give those with even the worst of credit a Visa or Mastercard.
However, keep in mind, these are much more expensive than the cards for people with good credit. None the less, it will definetely get you on the right track to once again establishing yourself as credit worthy. Paying your payments each month is crucial.

Alot of people do not realize this, but having no credit at all or using no credit is almost as bad as actually having bad credit.
This takes us back to Secured or Unsecured Credit Cards.
Secured cards can work out great, however, you will have to put the money upfront. Most of the deposits range in amounts from as little as a few hundred dollars to thousands. This can tie up alot of money and be really expensive. However, if this is the route for you, be sure and ask the card provided these few things before signing on!

Make sure the secured card you choose to help you rebuild your credit:
(1) Reports the credit card limit you have (even if it's only $200).
(2) DOESN'T report that the card is a secured card.

This is very important! Remember: If you get a card which reports to the credit bureaus that it IS a secured card, your credit score will also take a hit, even if you are paying on time.

Unsecured Credit Cards:

These cards will require no deposit, however, they are extremely high in rates. They are still, however, a terriffic tool in the rebuilding of your credit. You will want to be sure that they report to all 3 of the major credit bureaus. THIS IS ESSENTIAL! If they are not going to report, pass them up and move on to the next issuer. Not reporting will serve you no purpose what-so-ever!

As with the secured cards, the charges are very expensive, however, you can truly get back on the right track with this method!
